Gasteig

The Gasteig, where we will perform for five days, is a cultural and education centre of the city of Munich. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra has made it its home, but also the city library, the Community College and the Academy of Music. The Gasteig is very centrally located on the right bank of the River Isar, looking towards Munich's Old Town. The Glockenbachviertel, the centre of the LGBTI* scene with its cafés, bars and clubs, is located within walking distance on the other side of the Isar. Some of you already know the Gasteig from Various Voices 1997. Then, too, we were able to use it for concerts and events.

A tram stop and the S-Bahn railway station are right outside the Gasteig. The city centre and the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) can be reached in a few minutes by S-Bahn, and the direct connection to the airport takes just over half an hour.

Philharmonie

The Philharmonie is the biggest hall in the Gasteig with space for 2400 spectators. There the opening and Closing Ceremonies and the Blockbuster Concerts will take place.

Carl-Orff-Hall

The Carl-Orff-Hall seats 600 persons.

Black Box

The Black Box seats 220 persons

Small Concert Hall

The smallest stage at the Gasteig is the Small Concert Hall with 190 seats.

You will find more information and hall plans on the website of the Gasteig.
