Sing-along concert Carmina Burana

This is one of the top of the festival. On Saturday 12 May, 8 PM, the queer choirs will sing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana together with everyone in the audience at Munich’s Odeonsplatz square. A musical spectacle for 3,000 singers – and for anyone who wants to sing along.
Our singalong concert stands for an open society and against hostility to minorities. At the same time, we want to take a public stand and be visible as a community in the heart of Munich.

Rehearsal with orchestra: Odeonsplatz 11 AM, assembling from 10 AM
Sing-along concert: Odeonsplatz 8 PM, assembling from 7 PM
Arrangement by voice groups: soprano 1+2, alto 1+2, tenor 1+2, bass 1+2 (helpers and signage on site)

City-stage with beergarden

From Thursday to Saturday, May 10th to 12th, Various Voices invites you to the colorful street party in Max-Joseph-Platz. During all three days choirs will perform highlights from their shows on stage in between 1:30 and 8:00 PM. Typical Munich: in the beergarden you can eat, drink, and chat.

Festival Gala „München in Space – an interGALActic Concert Night“

In the star system of Monaco, on the planet Gasteigon, a space ship has landed: The Full Harmony! Its new owner, Gloria Gray, plans an interGALActic party on Friday, May11th, and has invited all her friends and some Special Guests like Conchita and Andreas Scholl. There is one problem, however: apart from the technically-ungifted steward Ingo Brosch there is no crew. An ad in Spacebook should help to find new staff. And indeed a number of colourful time-travelling candidates show up. Unfortunately, though, autocorrect had swiftly changed the word CORPS to CHOIR , and so Gloria and Ingo wonder why the potential new crew are incessantly singing. When by a silly coincidence a self-destruction mechanism becomes activated, time begins to run out ...
In order to make it possible for all guests to enjoy the Gala Concert it will take place twice.
Followed at 10:30 PM by a big Space Party in the Gasteig Foyer.
